Our Story

It was springtime in Chicago and like most of us midwesterners, Dave and I were eager to create after being cooped up all winter long.

We were doing long distance at the time and found a closeness in treasure hunting discarded furniture in our local alleyways.

Chelsea and Dave of Table for 2

One day I got a call from Dave saying found a pair of really cool broken speakers. We brainstormed over the phone what we could make from the speakers until finally it hit me…

A table for 2.

A person kneeling on a white cloth, painting a yellow letter on a black sign with gold borders that reads 'TABLE FOR 2', in front of an exposed brick wall.

The entire restoration project was done while I was in Cleveland and Dave was in Chicago. And for how much we enjoyed collaborating apart, we knew just how special it would be once nestled in the same place.

A man smiling, standing in a dining area next to a wooden table and chairs. There is a vintage stereo on a wooden cabinet and a glass-fronted china cabinet in the background. The room has dark blue walls and a window with wooden framing.

This shop is a dream come true for us and all we hope is that when you walk inside, you feel the love of a rare find.
